Yet another successful week for Lööps Transport!!
We had another meeting on Wednesday, where we discussed the routes again,
implementation a space-time graph for our chosen route to figure out the timetabling aspects of our scheme!
Then, our CEO and Project Manager split the group in two smaller groups. With each group focusing more in depth on the routes (one from our Urban Planner and one from our Geographer), ensuring our chosen one was perfect. The Civil Engineers
suggested a number of ideas as to how to improve our previously implemented design.
One such design would see the route increased a potential 20km to Port Glasgow to allow for direct transport of shipped goods from dock to our proposed project for the potential of massively reduced shipping times for goods travelling to Edinburgh, but the distance and cost increases were deemed too high for the expected benefits (The final route, including space-time analysis, can be found in the 'Route to Success' and 'Our Research' pages of this site!).
